Dear Nerissa,
I sat down to write. I had thought of something I wanted to write about- I had the words, the message and my tone all laid out. But as I sat typing, I stopped. What would my audience think? “Wait-” I thought, “what if I sound super stupid?”

I just quit writing there.

Later I was thinking, “what stopped me?” the answer: fear.

I then thought of the quote, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us…”

I am the creation of a Magnificent Being, and am thus endowed with great power. I love this idea.

Sometimes, I fear my potential. It is much easier to be weak. It’s always harder to stand against the flow of the river, especially when it does it’s best to ebb your soul away.

I was really afraid to share my thought- it was a great thought- and I’ve lost it. If I had captured my thought, I would know it now.

But my fear froze me.

Who am I to deny the greatness within myself? Why did I let a puny thought hold me back? Fear.

Excitement at my Home

Dear Nerissa,

Guess who’s dog gave birth yesterday to ten adorable puppies?

Mine! :)

She had them at home in our dog house, my mom and I helped her out the entire time. Well, I was present for births with exception of two. She was in labour for a total of five hours. She’s an excellent mommy. She could not stop smiling.
THEY ARE SO CUTE.

Of Worth

Dear Nerissa,
I have been thinking a lot today about what environments do I feel “of worth” in. And I realized that I feel “of worth” in several scenarios;
When I am studying, and really stretching my mind to grasp a certain principle- and I get it.
When I’m with certain friends, friends where we laugh and talk about all kind of subjects- most importantly when we talk about “the deep stuff”. Spiritual, philosophical, etc. I love it when our conversations are of light. I feel… Utterly beautiful when this happens.
When I’m on my run, with my dogs. I look at the mountains and hear the birds and I can just spend the time thinking and talking to God.

I’m still working on my theories, but this are my ideas. When do you feel of worth?

Dear Nerissa,
I am visiting Utah once again. Taking some classes at BYU. It has been absolute heaven. I’m hanging out with some of the most beautiful individuals in the entire universe. And the classes I have been taking are GENIUS. I’m so excite to see what the rest of this week has in store. =) While driving to Las Vegas, we went on a roller coaster. I was so sure I was going to throw up. It was funnnnnn. ;) on that Note,

Dear Nerissa,
My brother is reading “funny” pictures and chuckling to himself. Just so you know. Yesterday my class had a kickoff party where we talked about… Lots of really beautiful things. I ate a lot of food. It was kind of scary. :) I am really excited for this upcoming school year. I know it will be challenging but an incredibly valuable time for learning and growth.

On the ride back my mommy and I were talking and we made a list of incredibly attractive men that should date. It was lots of fun.

My mom is awesome.

Just so everyone knows, I have te most beautiful property. It’s inspiring.

Also, isn’t radiant a lovely word? I think so.

Oh! My dad bought me cowboy boots for a present. Totally plan on wearing them. I’ll include a picture. (of course, cause that’s what I do…)
